S’mores, salty ocean breezes, veggie burgers on the grill, sweaty people on the bus — what’s the smell you associate the most with summer?
Summer seems like so very long ago… Well, it’s now winter here and it’s all about layered clothing and keeping warm. Although I’d much rather be on a beach in the sun right now!
For me, summer is the smell of fresh air, carrying the scent of freshly cut grass as it slowly drifts through a bedroom window. It’s the smell of the chlorine in the local pool, or even better, the salty sea breeze when you’re down at the beach. It’s the smell of sunscreen as you board public transport… But it’s also the smell of unbearable b.o. 
it’s the smell of freshly cut pineapple in our warm chicken salad, and the freshness of watermelon and mint in out icy mock tails as we sit out on the balcony listening to the crickets chirp away whilst we eat and watch the sun set in the distance.
