Daily Prompt – An Odd Trio

Today, you can write about whatever you what — but your post must include, in whatever role you see fit, a cat, a bowl of soup, and a beach towel.

Hulk has just had a couple of wisdom teeth out, so I’m playing the role of nurse-maiden making sure that he’s being looked after.
Last night I made a carrot and ginger soup and I realised that I had never actually had a carrot soup before. Strangely enough it was actually quite tasty – especially with a dollop of sour cream. Now he’s got plans to make a potato and leek soup and some kind of pumpkin and sweet potato soup.

However, I also have a number of things to get down today as well – primarily pick up my glasses, get my blood test done, then go to the other side of the city for an MRI on my knee only to go back into the city for an acupuncture appointment. And I have to do all of this via public transport, which isn’t usually my friend.

I was even thinking of swinging past work if a couple of parcels had been delivered, so I could pick them up. It’d also give me a chance to see Crazy Cat Lady because she’s probably missing me just as much as I’m missing her.
Although, I really wish I didn’t have to go back to work at all. I just want a holiday. I should be content knowing that I’m heading to NZ Again in November, but yet again, it’s for work, so it doesn’t really count as a holiday. I want to wake up somewhere where the water is crystal clear, the sand is white, the sun is hot and all I need is a beach towel and maybe a pair of swimmers. Hehehe
