What do you find more unbearable: watching a video of yourself, or listening to a recording of your voice? Why?
After years of dancing, I’ve finally started to come around to actually being able to watch videos without completely cringing in horror.
The one thing that even today I still cannot stand, is the sound of my own voice. It’s a rather nasal-y kind of voice and I find it so hard to listen to when I’ve ever had to record it for something – even something as simple as having to record my voicemail greeting is something that I’ve had to redo multiple times, just because I hate how it sounds.
Interestingly enough, after I had a Septoplasty and a Turbinectomy last year, many people commented on how much my voice had changed, and how much deeper it sounded. Personally, I couldn’t hear the difference, but apparently it was quite significant. Even people that I speak to regularly on the phone commented on how much my voice had changed and deepened.
I just kept telling them that I was finally going through puberty and having dreams about girls. Hehehe.
