From the yeasty warmth of freshly baked bread to the clean, summery haze of lavender flowers, we all have favorite smells we find particularly comforting. What’s yours?

I think the ultimate is the smell of freshly baked bread… And then taking that bread, and SMOTHERING IT WITH BUTTER!!
The smell of freshly cut grass is also a favourite, particularly if it’s wafting through the house on a warm spring breeze! Although at the moment the smell of cut grass just smells like me green smoothies, so it’s a little off-putting.
I love the smell of an open fire in the middle of winter, that smokey, woody fiery smell is quite comforting and warming, and just makes me want to curl up under a blanket in front of the fire and fall asleep like a cat.
I am quite find of other smells as well – freshly baked cookies and cakes; the smell of rain; the smell of the ocean; fresh herbs such as rosemary and mint, even something as simple as clean laundry, but nothing really compares to those three, they are my favourites.
