You’ve just been named the casting director of your favorite television show (or movie franchise). The catch: you must replace the entire cast — with your friends and family. Who gets which role?
Well, I would have to say Will & Grace, which is perhaps my absolute favourite shows in the history of EVER!!
However, having to re-cast it would be interesting…
I think that my girlfriend PP would be Grace. Tall and gorgeous, just like Grace in the show, and generally unlucky in love, perhaps because she spends all her spare time hanging out with her gays. But to be honest, we’re much more fun!
Will, however, I really struggle to think of who I would cast in that role. I could cast my friend AJ in that role, who is actually PP’s best friend and former roommate in real life, so he would be a natural for the role of Will, but I think he’s more suited for Jack. Plus he’s all about musical theatre and has a tendency to be dramatic and over the top which are qualities that make him more suited to Jack.
Will…? Will…? I really don’t know. I have a couple of gay friends who are lawyers, but none who really seem to be as flamboyant as Will can be, so let’s just say that we’re still holding auditions for that role.
Then there’s Karen… well, I’m casting myself in that role. Karen’s a bitch, and so am I. I just don’t drink constantly or take a cocktail of pills. In real life, I would be the Karen in my circle of friends… although sometimes I tend to be a liiiiiittle bit like Jack.
