When reading for fun, do you usually choose fiction or non-fiction? Do you have an idea why you prefer one over the other?
I actually don’t have a preference of one over the other, I generally tend to find that it all comes down to my state of mind when I actually have the opportunity to read something.
Generally speaking, I would typically be more inclined to read a work of fiction, because it would fire up the creative saves of my bizarre, twisted mind, however some fiction that I’ve read can be quite mentally exhausting, as it throws far too much imagery and descriptiveness at you and even my brain struggles to keep up.
This is why I also don’t mind reading non-fiction because it doesn’t really require much thinking at all, because it’s all factual. Granted, the only non-fiction I generally read are autobiographies by people I actually have an interest in – ie., comedians, because I find that I’m able to relate to their stories much easier than reading about somebody iconic or political etc.
