Where is the one place you would never want to go on vacation that other people seem to love?
Bali.
For some reason, people seem to go bananas for Bali, but there has been far too much negative media coverage about Aussie travellers over there.
From needing hospital treatment, to having passports stolen, to being arrested for all kinds of ridiculous reasons, it’s the kind of tourist hotspot that really doesn’t appeal to me whatsoever.
That’s not to say that Bali isn’t a beautiful country, it’s got some amazing beaches and beautiful resorts, and some truly amazing religious culture, but the tourist aspect is what ruins it for me.
Moreso because most of the tourists there are Aussies who have gone completely feral. What is it about people who travel to foreign countries and completely change? Transforming into some kind of alcohol / drug- fuelled disgrace?
