11 Nov – Worry Wart

If you could permanently get rid of one worry, what would it be?

If I could get rid of one worry, it would be financial worries.

Most of us spend our lives wondering how we’re going to do certain things because of money, or lack thereof.

Things like going on holidays, or buying foods, or Medical bills, or paying the mortgage – hell, even getting a mortgage is a nightmare in itself. Seriously, how do you pay rent AND save for a deposit? Or if you’ve got kids, then it’s about providing for them; being able to afford school fees and paying for university.

And then of course there’s those who aren’t fortunate enough to have three luxury of a double-income household. Those who are single, our households that rely on one wage; or those who only earn one wage that perhaps only just covers their basic needs; living from week to week – it’s hard. You can’t afford to do anything and in turn you feel pressure to keep up with your social circles, but all those nights out, dinners, lunches, movies, taxi rides etc – it all adds up, moreso when you don’t have the cash to spend in the first place.

This is when you tend to pull out the credit card…
