Daily Prompt – In Due Time

What’s your next, most pressing deadline? Are you excited, stressed, or ambivalent about it? What’s the first thing you’d like to do once you’re done with it?

OMFG let’s talk about deadlines… I’ve got a backlog of approximately 20 posts that I need to actually finish writing to finally finish my daily-post challenge for 2014… then I need to find a good weekly writing challenge that I can focus on for the next twelve months to develop my creative writing and start actually doing some real writing, instead of spending all my time on these daily prompts. I’ve done it for 12 months, and I’m done.

It’s proven that I just do not have the time to dedicate to daily writing, and instead, I end up with a giant backlog, that I have to spend excess time on in order to try and catch up on.

I’m looking forward to clearing this backlog, but I’m more excited about really being able to sink my ‘teeth’ into some creative writing. I’ve realised that I’ve got a strong connection to it, and I really want to pursue it further.

I also think that it will allow me to write a lot more other posts from week-to-week – about anything that happens to pop into my mind. I’ve got a couple of posts that I wanted to write a little while ago, but never got around to it… 2015 will be the year I change that.
