Do you have a book in you? Fact or fiction? Related to your blog or totally different?

I like to think that I have a few books inside of me. However I doubt I’d ever get around to actually writing them. Sounds very defeatist of me, huh.

27 Oct – Scary Media

Do you enjoy being scared such as watching horror movies or reading scary books?

This truly only applies to me in terms of watching horror movies, because I can’t even remember the last time I read a scary book. I think it might have been primary school, or early high school, and even then, I can’t recall what the book was about.

Daily Prompt – Terminal Time

You’re at the airport, your flight is delayed for six more hours, and none of your electronic devices is working. How do you pass the time?

The first mission would be to haul ass to the local airline lounge, well, providing they have one, and then spend six hours filling myself up on buffet food until I need to roll myself onto the plane and sleep.

Failing that, I’d be finding a shop like a newsagent or something and buy myself a good novel to read in order to pass the time. But that in itself would be a struggle because when I get bored I get fidgety, so a book could end up being a bit of a challenge.

Worst case scenario – if there’s no lounge access and the newsagent is closed, I’d be in the corner sprawled out across a couple of seats having a sleep, because it’s the only other way I could spend that much time without being able to watch a couple of movies etc.

Daily Prompt – Great Expectations

Tell us about one thing (or more) that you promised yourself you’d accomplish by the end of the year. How would you feel once you do? What if you don’t?

Well, I made a resolution to read more this year. Ideally I wanted to at least read one book per month, because I that was going to be far more realistic and achievable than say, trying to read two or three books per month, whilst still trying to maintain writing two blog posts per day and working two jobs.

Evidently, it turns out that just the notion of writing two posts per day is quite a struggle and I’m now finding myself regularly having to combat a backlog of posts for the entire week on the weekend, which is frustrating because I just want to get them done and posted, but I can’t dedicate enough attention or detail to them like I would otherwise prefer.

So that in itself is a struggle, let alone having to try and add reading a book to the mix… It’s just not happening at the moment.

I really need to work on my time management. Majorly!!
