1 Dec – A Little Joy

What do you do when you’re down to bring yourself a little happy?

It all comes down to the severity of my sadness.

Sometimes, it can be just as  simple as calling a friend or watching some cat videos on YouTube. That alone can bring quite a big smile to my face.

However, for more extended or severe moments it can vary. It might need a three-hour vent to Mum, or it might just need sleep. Sometimes I turn to watching movies, in the bath, whilst eating chocolate. Or  Sometimes I just go shopping.

Either way, I just prefer to be alone.

Daily Prompt – Literate For a Day

Someone or something you can’t communicate with through writing (a baby, a pet, an object) can understand every single word you write today, for one day only. What do you tell them?

Dear babies of the world, it’s time we had a talk…

Daily Prompt – Pace Oddity

If you could slow down an action that usually zooms by, or speed up an event that normally drags on, which would you choose, and why?

I’d love to do both of these things to a number of different aspects of my life, and it’s quite hard to pick just one…

Daily Prompt – In Transit

Train stations, airport terminals, subway stops: soulless spaces full of distracted, stressed zombies, or magical sets for fleeting, interlocking human stories?

Why can’t it be both? This is one of those ‘glass-half-full’ scenarios…

8 Sept – Time To Heal

Do you give yourself time to heal, or do you keep making yourself move forward?

If I were to allow myself to really heal from all the shit that has messed me up so much, I’d need at least 6-12months of not working, a fuck load of therapy and a lot of alternate therapy like yoga and meditation, along with a lot of writing!

Daily Prompt – Terminal Time

You’re at the airport, your flight is delayed for six more hours, and none of your electronic devices is working. How do you pass the time?

The first mission would be to haul ass to the local airline lounge, well, providing they have one, and then spend six hours filling myself up on buffet food until I need to roll myself onto the plane and sleep.

Failing that, I’d be finding a shop like a newsagent or something and buy myself a good novel to read in order to pass the time. But that in itself would be a struggle because when I get bored I get fidgety, so a book could end up being a bit of a challenge.

Worst case scenario – if there’s no lounge access and the newsagent is closed, I’d be in the corner sprawled out across a couple of seats having a sleep, because it’s the only other way I could spend that much time without being able to watch a couple of movies etc.

Daily Prompt – Pick Me Up

What is the one word or phrase that immediately cheers you up when you hear it?

Hmmm, that’s a tough one. Majority of what goes around in my head is gibberish and pop-culture references, and most of the time I’m the only one who gets it all, so if anything, I just make myself laugh. However, to anybody else, all they see is me randomly start giggling to myself for no reason whatsoever. It must look quite odd.

Words such as cake, sleep, sleep in, no work, day off, holiday, travel, flight, pack, new or a combination of all of those words are sure-fire ways to get me excited 😀

May 2 – Eating Plans

Tell us how you wish you ate if it’s different from your day-to-day reality.

I would love to be the sort of person who could just wake up at stupid o’clock, go and do a workout at the gym, come home and make something ridiculously healthy like an egg-white omelette, then go to work, and have four or five small meals throughout the day, then come home to have a small meal before going to bed at 9pm and getting about nine or ten hours sleep.
