What was the last thing that gave you a real, authentic, tearful, hearty belly laugh? Why was it so funny?
Hands down, it was this past Sunday night, and a couple of friends, Hulk and myself were watching a video from a gym class we has filmed… Oh and I may have done it dressed as a Powerpuff Girl…
It was 45mins of non stop entertainment, uncontrollable laughing and far more years than I care to admit to.
The local gym had decided to use this past week as a Superhero week, encouraging all it’s instructors and participants to dress up as all different kinds of superheroes which they all really got in to, but all making good coin donations to help raise money to fight childhood muscular dystrophy. It was an amazing week and it was all for a great cause.
Now, given that there were three of us on stage, and we all like to consider ourselves as fitness professionals… This class… Oh my god, this class was perhaps the most unprofessional class I’ve ever witnessed, but in a good and hilariously entertaining way. And the reasons why are three-fold:
1. Part of our costume were tutus. One of the girls simply spent the entire class playing with her tutu, like it was her new obsession;
2. Part of my costume was to wear a long brown wig, and a giant pink bow, so that I could flick my hair around in one of the tracks;
3. And despite two of us literally losing the plot for the whole class, the third one was the only one who actually focused on the choreography and what were supposed to do.
As we watched his footage, we just could not stop laughing at the stupid shit we all managed to get up whilst on stage. It will, without a doubt, go down as one of the best fitness classes I have EVER done!!
