What’s the longest you’ve ever gone without reading a book (since learning how to read, of course)? Which book was it that helped break the dry spell?
Let’s just say that I’m still having my literary dry spell…
I find that I want to read more, I just don’t necessarily make the time to do so. I find it hard to force myself to read something, especially when my brain tends to be so ridiculously manic and I’m always distracted – it makes concentrating quite difficult and somewhat frustrating.
The last couple of books that I managed to finish were both novels by Chelsea Handler – Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea and My Horizontal Life.
A few months ago I managed to read Hyperbole And A Half by Allie Brosh – which was developed from the blog of the same name – definitely worth checking out.
Since then I’ve actually bought almost a dozen books – but they’re all on my iPad so that they don’t take up any more room on my shelves at home – I just don’t have the room.
